Consortium

NutriDutcH is the first multidisciplinary research consortium that aims to improve personalised nutritional care in Dutch Hospitals and at home: The NutriDutcH consortium consists of partners from eleven hospitals, seven universities, two social-technological universities, two Universities of Applied Sciences, patient organizations, nutrition societies and companies whom will work together on

1- fundamental and translational research towards

2- its implementation in clinical practice.

The proposal combines fundamental science with implementation, product and process innovations for patients and their recovery. To achieve the intended breakthroughs, we need productive interactions between scientific disciplines, fundamental and translational sciences and societal stakeholders, including patient representatives. We will incorporate feedback cycles from practical implementation of project outputs.

The steering group is described here and represents many other scientists and health care workers. Upon funding, we will introduce all our collaborators!

Knowledge chain partners
NutriDutcH unites and consolidates established Dutch researchers active in nutrition research from very different disciplines and academic institutions with an ability to conduct ground-breaking research and to lead complex large scale research projects. The consortium harbours expertise in fundamental and applied science ranging from nutrition, endocrinology, physiology, neurobiology and cognition, dietetics, immunology, advanced learning algorithms, eHealth, and implementation science.

Cooperation partners
These partners are essential to build towards relevant outcomes and impact. NutriDutcH cooperation partners include:

  • Six hospitals (Martini, Gelderse Vallei, Rijnstate, Bernhoven, Deventer Ziekenhuis and Zuyderland) that will contribute in the design of the cohort, inclusion of patients and implementation studies.
  • Four Dutch and one international citizen initiatives focusing on nutrition (Patient&Voeding, Eten en Welzijn, HungerNThirst, MDOG/HHDC; ENHA/ONCA) that will contribute by sharing patient expertise, design of in-depth studies, citizien science and awareness strategies towards healthcare and government.
  • Six Dutch and two international healthcare organisations with expertise in malnutrition (Dutch malnutrition steering group, Nutrition & Healthcare Alliance, NESPEN, TOAD, NVD, Dietheek; ESPEN, EFAD) that will contribute by advising on strategy, facilitating dissemination.

Co-funding partners
Company partners are essential for the project outcome and accentuate the multistakeholder approach for implementation of the NutriDutcH personalised nutrition concepts. All partners bring products and their knowledge as well as the insights on consumer/patient behaviour. This will help to align the outcomes with the societal and business goals of the project, and increases the chance of sustainable impact on patients’ health, quality of life and cost effectiveness of the cure and care system.

Upon funding, we will adapt this page into a fully functional space that informs and teaches about our cosortium.
